Hello and welcome to our Styled + Set Holiday Entertaining Blog Tour! I am excited to be joining some of my favorite bloggers this week to bring you holiday entertaining ideas. Lory from Designthusiasm, is our host and has gathered an amazing group. For those of you visiting from Life on Virginia Street, welcome! Isn’t Sarah’s dining room gorgeous? The links for all of the participants can be found at the bottom of my post. I hope you will visit all of these talented ladies!
Ever since I was a young child, I cherished spending long hours chatting with loved ones in the dining room. I always keep this in mind when decorating our dining room for Christmas.
The dining room is where we connect. It is where memories are made. My goal is to create a beautiful, inviting space that will inspire our guests to choose to linger.
A thoughtfully styled dining room can make your whole home feel more inviting.
Today, I want to share my best dining room styling tips with you.
Glass goblets are elegant and beautiful. They add a bit of glamour and sparkle. Try leaving them on a sideboard or a bar cart for easy access and enjoy the extra amount of holiday glam they bring to your dining room.
The gold rimmed champagne glasses are by Vietri. I love the height they add and they are the perfect example of glassware that brings glam to your dining room.
Ornaments aren’t just for the tree. Add a few on any surface, as part of a centerpiece, in a bowl….the possibilities are endless.
If you’re a regular here, you may have noticed I swapped my pink lamps for these silver ones. They are by Aidan Gray, one of my favorite brands and I think they are perfect for my holiday look! You can see my dining room update and pink lamps HERE.
It doesn’t need to be overly fancy, just keep it festive.
Candles are the easiest way to add to the ambiance to your dining room.
Lastly, use comfortable seating. Pillows in chairs are also a nice addition, and in this case, a great way to add a pop of Christmas color!
Next week I’ll be sharing my full home all decked out for the holidays. I hope you’ll check back!

Beautiful! Wanted to ask you if I may……your buffet is gorgeous! Is it still available? If you happen to remember name or manufacture & want to share I’d be very appreciative. Thanks for sharing your beautiful posts.
Jennifer says
Hi Vickie! Thank you! Unfortunately, it is no longer available. It’s by Aidan Gray, so check their website to see if they have something similar.

Jen seriously this is just jaw dropping it’s so gorgeous. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Your interiors photography is unparalleled. Every single shot is literal perfection! Beautiful job as always my friend.
Jennifer says
CC you are so very sweet! Your photography comment means the world to me considering you are such an amazing photographer. Thank you my friend!

I was looking at the round mirror from Wisteria. Many of the reviews are negative. The common complaints are the finish is poorly done and the hanging hardware is not far enough apart for such a big mirror. Can I get some feedback from you?
Your dining room is very beautiful at all times of the year but especially so all decked out for the Christmas season. Beautiful!
Jennifer says
Hi Joanna! Thanks for your comment. My mirror is this one: http://rstyle.me/n/csv5c3b52jf
The quality is excellent. Please feel free to reach out with additional questions. I will be sure to remove the other mirror that I linked in error. Thanks again and I appreciate your kind words about my dining room.

Thank you, Jennifer!

Jen, I love all your tips and I’m a big fan of leaving out barware myself. Your sideboard display is just stunning! Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of bling and softness. Beautiful!! (Big Aidan Gray fan here too… ;-)).
