Hello and thank you for stopping by! Today, I am beyond thrilled to share our updated powder bathroom!
This bathroom is located next to a guest room in our home. It has a bathtub and shower, but is predominantly used as a powder bathroom.
When I started the project, it was not necessarily on my update list. More on that later, but I am happy to say, it ended up becoming such an elegant room and I am so glad it is ready to be revealed!!!

FAUCET:
Send all of the heart-eyes emojis for this beauty!
And the handles……. NO WORDS!
The faucet, Miramar 8″ Widespread Lavatory Faucet is by California Faucets. They have 28 beautiful finish options. The finish I selected is called Burnished Brass Uncoated.
With California Faucets (made in California), I was able to customize my new faucet’s gorgeous handles. As a bonus, the handles can easily be changed out when I want a different style. I’ll be sharing more on this soon!
I was also able to order matching accessories, including a towel bar and a toilet paper holder. They coordinate beautifully with the faucet and handle.
A double hook and a tank lever complete the look.
In addition to the stunning appearance of each piece, I am thrilled with the quality!
The finish I chose, Burnished Brass Uncoated, is truly beautiful and special. It is a living finish. Over time, it will age and patina. Renaissance Wax is a product that I have applied and will continue to apply regularly over time. This will help the rich, natural patina develop in a more uniform fashion.
One more thing, I selected California Faucet’s ZeroDrain Pop-Down Drain. Watch for a video of this amazing technology on my Instagram stories soon!
MIRROR:
One of my very favorite online sources for beautiful lighting, home furnishings and decor is Bellacor. I have been shopping at Bellacor for a while and highly recommend the website.
Recently, I found this gorgeous mirror there and it was love at first site!
It is an unexpected statement piece with its soft green color and beautiful design. I love finding unique pieces like this, which is why Bellacor is a go-to site for me. If you’ve never shopped there, trust me, you are missing out!
LIGHTING:
I wanted to replace our old lighting and chose a beaded flush mount for the ceiling.
These chic, transitional fixtures replaced our old wall sconces.
COUNTERTOPS:
The countertops actually provided a jumpstart for this project. We had some extra quartz leftover from our recent kitchen makeover, which we used to replace our dark countertop.
The countertops are quartz made by LG Viatera. This exact color was never released, but it is almost identical to their new color, Mica.
They were fabricated and installed by the team at Stone Coverings of Houston. Read more about both of these wonderful companies here.
VANITY & HARDWARE:
Our vanity received an update too, including paint and new hardware.
I love the new, beautiful cabinet hardware. Our vanity was previously missing knobs on the two false drawers, which always bothered me. The new knobs are the perfect addition and add a touch of glam.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Art
Some of the bathroom art was previously in my dining room, but I love it here too. If you are a regular reader (thank you if you are), you have likely heard me talk about purchasing items that can be used in more than one spot in your home. Moving decorative items from space to space will help your home stay fresh and interesting.
Accessories
I am a big believer that accessories are necessary to have a finished look in any space, even a bathroom.
Rod & Rings
It was somewhat of a challenge to find a gold-toned rod, but I did and I paired it with these rings, both very reasonably priced.
Towels
I adore my insanely soft bamboo towels by Cariloha. I have a couple of bath sheets, six bath towels, a couple of hand towels and six washcloths. They are the most luxurious towels I have ever touched and well worth every penny!
Paint
At the last minute, we decided our newly updated powder bathroom need a coat of fresh white paint! We selected the color, Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore in a matte finish for the walls. We also painted the cabinets the same color, but in a satin finish. Chantilly Lace is the new paint color in most of our home.
I hope you loved this new space as much as we do! Another room update is on the horizon, so be sure to subscribe below, so you won’t miss it!

Nice and bright. It turned out beautiful! I love the gold hardware accents! I did mine last year and used gold and a bit of bling too I love it except I used a dark wooden vanity. After seeing this I am thinking I should paint it out to make it brighter. Lol. Thanks…just another job for my to do list!!

Thank you so much! We added the paint last after seeing everything else in the space. Not the way I would normally do it, but we sure are happy we went for it! Thanks for your kind words and for stopping by! xoxo

Thank you!!! Any guesses on what’s next? I’m thinking a pergola would be a nice addition. The laundry room and master bathroom are also high on my list. I’ll need permission from the boss though!

So beautiful and inspiring! Did you paint the cabinets yourself? I am in the process of updating my guest bathroom (and 30 year old cabinets— they are in great shape) and cannot decide between painting them myself or hiring someone, but yours came out beautifully!
P.S. You’ve been an inspiration to me for interior design and making a beautiful home, since I bought my home 4 years ago! I hope one day, to have my home be half as beautiful as yours— it’s so pretty in every season and style!

Thank you for your kind words! I painted our cabinets, which was not too much work, but I have a lot of painting experience. Hope this helps! Best of luck decorating your home! xoxo
