I cannot believe that have I have been blogging for over a year now. As a result, I have learned a few things along the way and shared them in my recent post, Lessons From My First Year of Blogging. However, this medium is always changing and there is always more to learn.
If you follow my Instagram stories, you know I spent the first few days of this week at the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles. I am always looking for opportunities to learn how to improve this website. And I must say, spending three days in LA doing so was a welcomed break from my normal schedule.
I was prepared and frankly, expected to field many questions about blogging. However, I actually only received a few. What I did table a number of questions about was my wardrobe. Therefore, I wanted to share all of the details with you! Plus I thought you would enjoy seeing some of the amazing design bloggers that attended the conference with me.
I’ve found that most designers love fashion as much as they love design. After all, they are each artistic. Below you will find the clothes and accessories I packed. I hope you love them as much as I do! (This post contains affiliate links).
The first day, shortly after I arrived I had a workshop to attend, so I chose black jeans and a black top. As you can see below, I was not the only one with black on, which I loved seeing because it’s often my go-to color of choice!
Bloggers (l to r): Kris from Driven by Decor, Sita from Sita Montgomery Interiors, Brittany from Addison’s Wonderland, Erin from Sunny Side Up, Randi from Randi Garrett Design, Me, Shauna from The House of Silver Lining, Jen from Style House Interiors, Bree from ZDesign at Home (links at the bottom of this post).
The second day was a white top – black pants/skirt day. Just kidding, but clearly most of us thought so! My white top is located here and my black pants are actually jeans which can be found here and below.

This evening, I was invited to an amazing dinner hosted by Traditional Home and Ferguson. What a treat! You can see pink was the color of the night! Top, skirt, similar shoes.
I’ve worn my skirt several times and I love it! It’s currently on sale too!
The third and final day, I chose white jeans and a navy top with bell sleeves and the cutest shoes ever (which proved to be incredibly popular in my weekend sales post)!
A final new purchase for this trip was a bag that I’ve had my eye on for a while. So fabulous!
I hope you enjoyed this and as always, thank you for stopping by Decor Gold Designs!
