We are getting so close to the finish line! I am so excited about this, but I am constantly busy at the job site with little time left for anything else. I am definitely behind on sharing new home progress updates. It is time to catch up, though, so here we go!
The cabinets are complete with the exception of a few minor corrections. They are actually completely painted now which is especially exciting, but I started this progress report before paint, so I’ll be sharing more very soon.
I originally started designing our cabinets on graph paper months before we were ready to have them built. It was so much fun to see the drawings come to life! Below, you will see some of our unfinished cabinets. They were all built on site
Cabinets
Kitchen
My goal in our kitchen was to create a highly functional space that is also beautiful and unique. I tried to think of everything that we need to store and how I wanted to organize the space.
This cabinet wall will house our refrigerator and freezer. It also has an appliance garage. The right side will include glass doors.
The wall is 12′ tall and I wanted my cabinets to go to the ceiling. The top panels are decorative.
This wall will only have lower cabinets, mostly drawers. We have a gorgeous range hood coming for the middle of the wall. Here, you can see Tony is measuring the space it will occupy. Our range will be installed in the opening below.
Working Pantry
I am thrilled with how our pantry turned out. I wanted it to function almost like a back kitchen and also as a bar. I also hope this pantry will help us keep the kitchen clean while entertaining.
In the pantry, there will be a sink, a speed oven, an ice maker, as well as a drink refrigerator and a wine refrigerator.
Primary Bathroom
In our bathroom, I wanted cabinets on each side of a niche for our bathtub. I LOVE the way they turned out!
Molding
Coffered Ceilings
This detail was added to our dining room, living room, and bedroom.
Picture Frame Molding
I’ve always loved picture frame molding. We have it in our living room, entryway, and upstairs hall. It turned out so pretty, so I may add more later.
So much has happened since I took these photos. We have workers completing tile work and our wood floors will be installed soon. The walls have also been painted and the countertops have been installed. Stay tuned for another update!
I hope you’ll stay connected!
