I love the durability and beauty of quartz countertops. I love how light, bright, and clean it looks. Switching from granite to quartz in our previous home was one of the best decisions we made.
As we move toward the completion of our new home, I am so pleased with how all of the finishes are complementing each other. Nothing to date has been more impactful though, than our quartz countertops. Today, I am so excited to share a peek at our beautiful quartz surfaces by Vadara Quartz!
Samples
These gorgeous large samples made the selection process so easy. I took them to our job site and looked at them in each space, with our lighting, and with samples of other finishes we had already selected.
Kitchen
The first quartz I selected was beautiful Sunrise Vista for our two islands. Out of all of the designs we are using in our home, it has the most bold pattern, which I love! It makes such a stunning statement. The taupe, gray, and gold accent colors work so perfectly with my cabinet colors, marble tiles, and wood flooring.
Amaranta is so timeless. I placed it on the side wall and the window wall in my kitchen. It is a Calacatta-inspired quartz. You can see how the beautiful gold and light gray veining stand out on the clean white background. It is the perfect compliment to the more bold design of Sunrise Vista.
Utility Room & Pantry
A white background with feathery veining in taupe give this quartz a lovely soft look. It would look great in any setting as it is classic like a subtle marble.
Primary Bathroom
White Aurora might be my favorite selection of all. It has a strong similarity to marble in its appearance. With veining in gold and soft gray, it is simply gorgeous. We used it in our powder bathroom as well. I can’t wait to share more of that space, but we are working through some electrical issues leaving our powder bathroom still very much a construction zone.

Quartz
It is important to note that we used Vadara Quartz in our entire home. We just recently removed the protective paper on most of our surfaces, but our home is not yet complete, so I am sharing what I can so far. I will begin revealing rooms over the coming months (as soon as possible, I promise). I know you’ll be able to see how beautifully each quartz design fits in each room as they are completed.
Until then, let’s take a moment to talk a bit about quartz. It is an incredibly durable material that is low-maintenance. No sealing is necessary! It is stain and scratch resistant and requires only mild dish soap and warm water for daily cleaning. I use microfiber cloths for this.
Because quartz is nonporous it is also resistant to bacteria. This is especially nice in the kitchen.
The best thing about quartz is the wide range of natural stone looks that are available. I was able to get the beautiful look of marble with all of benefits of quartz countertops. The slabs are consistent as well. The styles I chose make my spaces look clean, fresh and expansive.
Why Vadara Quartz? Simply put, their designs are the most gorgeous. To be able to have such natural looking veined countertops that are high-quality, durable, and basically maintenance-free is all I could ever want!
Fabricators
Our fabricators were the artisans from The Stone Store.
Once you have selected your material, they come to your site and measure with a laser for the most precise planning. They use advanced computer-controlled machines with diamond saw blades and waterjet technology for their cuts. Once ready for installation, their incredibly skilled artisans arrived at my job site as promised (this was a rare blessing during our construction process as many other contractors did not do so) and left my job site only after every last detail was perfected.
If you are in the Houston area, you can use this email address to contact them [email protected]. They have assured me that they will provide a quick response to any inquiry you may have!
Here are the surfaces I selected:
Amaranta – Kitchen Side Wall and Window Wall
Sunrise Vista – Kitchen Islands
Calacatta Dorado – Pantry and Utility Room
White Aurora – Powder Bath and Primary Bathroom
I hope you’ll stay connected!
