Hello! I’m glad you have made your way to our Christmas Cookie Exchange!
If you’re visiting here from Kelley Nan, welcome!!! Kelley is an amazing home stylist, cook, and I just know her Hazelnut Brownie Bite Sundaes are amazing. I can’t wait to try them!
For the second year in a row, a few of us are sharing a recipe as part of a fun, online cookie exchange.
Today I am sharing my favorite cookie, and now my new favorite Christmas cookie! My daughter and I have been baking for several days and I finally realized the classics are classics for a reason! We made the most delicious batch of Snickerdoodles from a family recipe and will be sharing it here today.
They are easy to make and quite tasty! I hope you love them as much as we do. Here’s the recipe!
2 cups butter
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Cream sugar and butter. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla. Blend well. Sift next 4 ingredients together. Add to cream mixture gradually. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. (8 dozen)
One more thing….. they travel well too. I took some on a flight recently and they arrived in perfect shape.
I hope you choose to bake a few classics like these snickerdoodles this year!
