We love spending time in our outdoor living space, so I wanted to create a space that was inviting and comfortable. It was important that it felt like an extension of our indoor living space.
We first updated this space 2 years ago, but when we decided to replace our outdoor sofa, a matching one (to our previous chairs) was no longer available. We decided to make a change and I am thrilled to be able to share our newly updated outdoor living space with you today!

Bougainvillea always makes me feel like I am back in California where I grew up. It grows well here in containers.
We like to fill a round tray with light bites when we entertain outside. Even when it is just the two of us, this is a frequent casual dining spot.
A typical evening meal here often looks like this.
The comfortable new sitting area and arrangement has made our backyard into a true extension of our home!
Our rug was purchased a couple of years ago. It is an indoor rug, but our patio is completely protected from weather. If you are looking for something similar, this rug may work for you. Please note, it is also an indoor rug.

Thank you! It is actually an indoor rug that has been discontinued for a while. That’s why I tried not to show too much of it! 😉 I found something similar and added it to my post Several others were interested too….. wish it was a current item!
