When summer ends and fall begins, I am always very excited to begin styling my home for the cooler seasons. Each year, the highlight of this process is creating an elegant pumpkin centerpiece.
There is nothing that captures the essence of fall more than a beautiful pumpkin. And there is nothing more gorgeous than a hand-crafted Hot Skwash silk velvet pumpkin by my dear friend, Daria. I am in awe of her tremendous artistic abilities, which can be enjoyed year after year through her lovely, collectible pieces.
Like Decor Gold Designs, Hot Skwash began as an expression of creativity. Because Daria creates such high quality, visually stimulating masterpieces, Hot Skwash pumpkins are some of the most sought-after pumpkins on the market. I adore adding to my collection year after year and I just know you will too.
Tabletop pumpkin styling, or creating a cascading pumpkin centerpiece, is a simple way to design stunning fall tablescape. Use my step by step styling tips if you need a how-to!

Pumpkins
The pumpkin color I selected for fall this year is simply exquisite. It is a new silk velvet color called seafoam and I am thrilled to reveal it here!
This fall, I wanted to create a charming southern tablescape and this new pumpkin color could not have been more perfect for the look.
You will see that silk velvet pumpkins in seafoam are beautifully eye-catching as a centerpiece.
PUMPKINS NEEDED, (all seafoam):
1 Seafoam with feathers, J (12″)
2 Seafoam, 10″
2 Seafoam, 8″
3 Seafoam, 6″
4 Seafoam, 5″
3 Seafoam, 4″
Magnolias
I added magnolias to my centerpiece to provide traditional elegance. I use them on my Christmas trees each year because they are timeless.
After Daria mention to me two years in a row that magnolias are her favorite flowers, I was convinced they would be perfect for the southern glam look I wanted.
I wanted to use real magnolias, but our magnolia tree is not blooming. Instead I used beautiful faux substitutes, these and larger magnolias (similar). I was able to use leaves from my tree though!
Place Settings
Gold chargers, flatware, and gold-rimmed glassware add a touch of glam. As always, I used a classic white dinner plate. The salad plate is pale blue (similar). I placed napkins tied with real olives sprigs.
Centerpiece
Starting with a large pumpkin in the center, add smaller ones to each side and fill the center of your table. You can do this with any color scheme (see last year’s here). My step by step tutorial is helpful to bookmark and refer back to year after year.
Dining Room
Beautiful seasonal decor, especially an elegant pumpkin centerpiece is the key to a well-styled fall dining room. The space looks incredibly inviting and even ready for entertaining!
The pretty blue-green pastel color scheme is included on my bar cart along with pops of gold for glam. This vase come in two sizes and is great for faux hydrangeas.
Ginger jars and magnolias tie the sideboard into the room as well.
Option 2
The addition of a few bone-colored velvet pumpkins provide an additional styling option for you. This color is a classic neutral that looks amazing with any style of decor.
Sets
Before I go, I want to share the versatility of my gorgeous Hot Skwash pumpkins. Find three sets that include seafoam, other colors, and styling ideas below.
This set of three looks darling styled on a side table.
Use a tray to gather this gorgeous set of four.
Decor Gold Dream (Don’t you just love the name?) 馃檪
I arranged the third and final set of pumpkins on the bench at the foot of my bed, but the options are endless for this grouping.
Again, I want to highly recommend that you begin your Hot Skwash by Daria pumpkin collection this fall. Each piece, with its lovely natural stem, is of the most amazing quality.
