To say I am excited to spend my first fall in our new home would be an understatement! I am so ready for cooler temperatures and the beauty nature offers this time of year.
I am crazy about fall decor. Velvet pumpkins are always the star of the show around here and this year’s color scheme is stunning. We’ll get back to that in a moment, but first, let’s get caught up.
Our homesite is filled with beautiful trees and backs to a lake. Additionally, my new dining room is saturated in color and I knew fall decor would look gorgeous in the space. For these reasons, I selected shades of blue and green. They would look amazing in any setting, but I knew they would be perfect and timeless in our new space.
In truth, traditional fall colors are incredible, but it is so nice to create an inviting fall look in your home in the colors you love most. I adore each color combination I have ever used, but this one is so “me” and I am thrilled to share it with you!

I continue to be loyal and true to Hot Skwash pumpkins for my fall table. They were created by my friend Daria, and there is nothing that compares to her flawless pumpkins. Ready to see my table?
Fall in Blue and Green
I am using more color in this home. The shades I’ve selected are some you will continue to see as we share our new spaces. I hope you love them as much as I do!
I love having a dining table view from the stairs in our new home.
Don’t you just love the look?
To create this tablescape, I used Seafoam, Lagoon, and Wedgewood. I also added some gorgeous 5″ Seafoam pumpkins with crystals. Simply put, this color scheme is stunning!
Our Dining Room
Just before I decorated for fall, I shared our new dining room! I love how much these flawless pumpkins elevate the space!
The Details
Each pumpkin is handmade by the talented team of artisans at Hot Skwash. Be sure to notice the stems. They are one of the features of Hot Skwash pumpkins that make them so special. They’re grown specifically for Hot Skwash and they are incredible.
The crystal pumpkins add a dazzling contrast to the rustic natural stems.
The hint of gold on the chargers and bread plates adds to the look. I placed 3″ pumpkins in Seafoam and Lagoon on each place setting. They make the best fall gifts for your dinner guests.
I highly recommend getting out your stemware for your fall table. It completes the look.
Magnolias never disappoint as part of a fall table. They are elegant without being fussy and I love to incorporate them in my home.

I’m just so obsessed with the view from above.

More
To complete the room, I styled our credenza as well. Blue planters, pots, faux flowers, and candles combine with a single velvet pumpkin with crystals for a subtle fall look.
From the beginning of fall through Thanksgiving, these pumpkins are pure perfection. I love velvet pumpkins in gorgeous non-traditional colors. Look for them in additional rooms of my home soon!
