I have been looking forward to decorating for the holidays for months. Decorating Christmas trees has always been one of my favorite tasks. Because of our move though, it has been 2 years since I’ve been able to put together a Christmas tree like this. It was worth the wait and so much fun. Let’s take a look!

This is the Frontgate Christmas tree I got in 2018! You’d never know it wasn’t brand new. It has held up beautifully and looks so elegant in our new home.
Ornaments
I found the most gorgeous handpainted ornaments this year. They are all from Frontgate’s Frosted French Blue Ornament Collection and I don’t know if I can adequately describe how stunning they truly are. If you’ve never seen Frontgate’s ornaments in person, what you need to know is that they are exquisite. The quality is incredibly high and the details are so beautiful and timeless that it makes them very collectible.
I started with Ming Large Jar Ornaments. These statement ornaments feature floral and chinoiserie designs with glittery accents. They are so special. They’re large (6-1/2″—7-1/4″ tall) and stand out as classic eye-catching pieces.

I also selected Chinoiserie Matte Glass Ornaments. They coordinate with the jar ornaments well and add to the beauty of the tree. These round beauties would be striking in a bowl on your kitchen counter or coffee table as well!
Next, I added two 24-piece sets (the Frosted French Blue, 24-pc. Set), which gave my tree a collected look. You can see a few of the ornaments below, but there are many more styles in the sets they offer.
I am so enamored with all of these heirloom-quality beauties.
To complement the ornaments, I selected Soft Blue Velvet Taffeta Ribbon and Celadon Royal Taffeta Ribbon. I made 5 large bows for my 9′ tree.
Pearl Center Magnolia Bouquets sprays complete the look.
Once we bring our Christmas trees inside for the season, the lights are rarely off. We love the warm glow of the white lights.
I shared the steps for getting this look on Instagram. You can check my story highlights if you’d like to review. I approach each tree with the same steps as I decorate it. First, I add the flowers (magnolias), then the sprays. Next, I add large “filler” ornaments. These are usually 5-7″ large, round, shatterproof ornaments. They create fullness and a backdrop for the more special ornaments I add next. The third step is to add my most special ornaments. Then, I add all of the remaining ornaments from largest to smallest. With this tree, I decided I wanted some white berries included, so I placed them in the less full spots. Normally, I would do this before adding ornaments, but it worked out well. Lastly, I placed my bows on the tree for the finished look.
We still have so many things to finish in our house, which has been overwhelming at times. It has been a wonderful distraction to focus on the holidays starting with decorating my trees. I have another tree in my dining room that I will share soon!
I hope you’ll stay connected!
