Welcome to our Christmas living room! My living room is always the first room I decorate for Christmas. It is also my favorite!
As soon as our tree goes up, I begin to revisit all of the wonderful holiday memories that have been created in this space. Things may be a bit different this year, but we wanted this room to look and feel as festive as it does every holiday season.
I decided to use pale blue this year and I am so happy that I did. For one thing, it makes a perfect backdrop for our sweet new pup, Bailey!
In all seriousness though, I feel like soft blue is calming and soothing and it just made sense this year.

Christmas Living Room Tree
Each year, in addition to a tree skirt, I love to add decorative boxes to the base of our tree. They give it a more finished look than it would have without them.
Our tree is flocked and pre-lit. I have had it for 3 years and I could not love it more! It is full and gorgeous and creates the most magical glow in our living room.
Christmas Living Room Mantel
I kept my mantel simple this year with a few styles of decorative trees and votives. To get the look, I placed faceted trees, then glitter cone trees and glass trees on each side.
I also added this new silver garland and embellished the corners with magnolias. I love, love, love the look! I use battery operated fairy lights for an evening Christmas glow.
Christmas Living Room Accent Color
Light blue accents such as vases, pillows, and throw blankets complete the room.
On our ottoman, I created a wintery look with a collection of bottle brush trees and a vase full of snowy magnolias.
Just behind our living room, I placed 2 extra chairs and a small table. It became the perfect spot for a tabletop tree, which I embellished with white ribbon, magnolias, and ornaments.
I love how it coordinates with our main tree without matching it perfectly.
You can find us here most nights, no lights other than the lights on the tree, so perfectly Christmasy.
